You might think that the thought of learning what I really think is scary, but it's not all that bad.

What I Think About Religion:

I believe that there is only one God, the one true God who is the all-powerful creator of this earth. But wait, there's more. You see, we are all born sinners. Now I know that when you think about it, it doesn't seem like you've done anything all that bad. Maybe you haven't, I don't know. Adam, as you probably know, was the first sinner. He broke a perfect union between man and God. After that, things just weren't the same. We had lost our contact with God because of Adam's sin. Adam's actions brought sin into the whole earth, for all generations. Yes, I know it stinks but he did. Well the Bible says that "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God". The Bible also says, "The wages of sin is death" which means you must die for your sins. But wait! God had mercy on us! He did not want us to die. So in place of our death, He sent Jesus who died for us. Jesus acts as a bridge recapturing that relationship that was lost. When I first heard that, I wanted to shout it from the rooftops! You see, you don't have to die for your sin. Jesus died in your place. All you have to do is accept God's word for it and believe. Yep, it's as simple as that. If you have never done that, pray a prayer. Right now. Bow your head, ask God to forgive you. Tell Him you realize you are a sinner bound for hell. Tell Him, He listens and He cares.

What I Think About Politics:

Well, I think that one of the biggest things wrong with our government is the unthinkable evil of abortion. I think its wrong that anyone would kill an innocent human simply because it's an inconvenience, or a nuisance. I think that this has gone on to long in this country. If the founding fathers knew that we kill babies without blinking an eye they would roll over in their graves! TWICE!!! I suppose abortion is the single thing I feel the strongest about, but there are other issues I feel just as strongly about. I hate the practice of redistribution of wealth. I also am not in favor of a government that minimizes freedoms, and maximizes political power. I am a Republican. Why? Well because Democrats support things that go directly against Gods Word. Like What? Well to name a few, abortion, and same sex marriages, etc. I can't say that I am 100 percent republican either. I am on God's side, not a particular party!!

What I Think About Marriage:

Well, I know you are just tickled to hear what I've got to say about this! I suppose you are wondering why I would even write about such a thing at my age. (Only born in '88 you know!) Well, I am writing because I feel different than most people. I don't like the modern (and seemingly western) idea of dating to find a life's partner. When you date, the guy picks up the girl, they go out one on one and sometimes end up with an unwanted pregnancy. I'm not saying that's what always happens, it's just quite likely. However, that's not the only problem. When you date you go through several different people. Each time that happens your heart goes through a period of hurting. The number of teen suicides after a breakup is appalling. When you court, you associate with your partner around your parents, her parents. That way things are a lot safer. You only court for the goal of marriage. Unlike dating where the goal may be a number of things including, sex, love, or a "good time". Rarely is the goal marriage. Sex is something I believe is only for marriage. Picture it this way. This may sound a little weird, but bear with me. Let's say that chocolate that will serve as a metaphor of an emotionally and physically involved relationship. You go to the store and look at several different varieties, packages, tastes, etc. Well, you find one you like. You end up "going with" this type of chocolate for quite awhile. But then, the inevitable happens. This chocolate no longer satisfies. So you go back to the store and buy some more of a different variety. This too lasts awhile, but again, it gets boring. Well, by the time you've found the love of your life, you've had lots of chocolate in the past and have already taken your first bite. The first bite of chocolate is wonderful. But that first bite is gone. You can't give that wonderful first bite to the love of your life. I'm saving my first bite for the love of my life.

Now I know that may have sounded weird and maybe even funny, but it illustrates a very important point. Once you've done it, it's to late to go back. I am a firm believer that "no sex before marriage" is the way to go. Whether you accomplish this goal through courtship, dating, betrothal, or whatever, I hope and pray that you will wait. I won't say that with courtship sex won't be an issue, or a temptation, but it'll be a lot easier to withstand the pressure. That's why I am committed to courtship and I hope you are too.
